The Arakan National League/Arakanese Army (ULA/AA) announced on December 10 that it had taken complete control of Border Guard Police Battalion No.5, based in Maungdaw Township, Rakhine State, after a 55-day offensive on December 8.

Four PDFs Sentenced for the Death of Pyu Saw Tee Min Min Under IHL/IHR

On December 5, the Beikthano People’s Defense Army announced that four members of the Force were sentenced to one year in prison for violating International Humanitarian Law and International Human Rights Law because of killing Min Min, a member of Pyu Saw Htee, the leader of the Patriotic Association of Myanmar on the Nay Phi Daw - Kanpyar road on November 29.

Three Key Requests for Myanmar Workers from the NUG to Thailand

The Federal Wings Drone Force announced on December 3 that as of October 6, 2024, collaboration with the Ministry of Communications, Information and Technology (MOCIT) under the National Unity Government (NUG) has been mutually suspended.

KIO announces the Dissolution of the Kachin Special Region (1)

The Central Committee of the Kachin Independence Organization (KIO) announced that the Kachin Special Region 1 which was to maintain the power of successive military dictatorships, was abolished as of November 28. The declaration was made after the KIA captured the town of Kan Paik Ti, the last remnant of the former Kachin Special Region (1), which Zahkung Ting Ying led on November 20.

ULA/AA Successfully Captures Entirety of Toungup

The Arakan Army (ULA/AA) stated on November 28 that Toungup City, Rakhine State was under full control on November 24 after 17 days of offensive to capture the city.

Requesting an Arrest Warrant for the Military Leader Overthe Rohingya Genocide

The International Criminal Court (ICC) announced on November 27 that it has issued an arrest warrant for the leader of the military junta for the genocide of the Rohingyas in Rakhine State in 2016-17.

Ready for Negotiations: PSLF/TNLA Addresses Military Conflicts

The Karenni State Consultative Council (KSCC) announced on November 19 with the signature of the council president that the interim health policy to be applied in Karenni State has been approved with amendments and additions and enacted by Resolution No. (1/41) at the council's 41st regular meeting.

Pauk People's Defense Team Alerts to Potential "Significant Action" Over Interference in Controlled areas

It was announced on November 13, in the name of the person in charge of Paul Township People’s Defense Team, and stated that the separate armed groups which were not affiliated with the National Unity Government (NUG) had entered the villages controlled by the People’s Defense Team of the Park Township, Magway Region, so if there was interference in education, health, administration, and defense sectors, the serious action will be taken and will remove to reside in the township.

The Validation of the United Karenni State Army - UKSA, Joint Chiefs of Staff Formation Act

The Karenni State Interim Parliament announced on November 18 that the “United Karenni State Army-UKA, Joint Cheifs of Staff Formation Act (Draft)” submitted by the Karenni State Interim Executive Council had been passed into law by the parliament's decision.

NUG takes action against PDFs and six Pa Ka Pha members within one month

The Ministry of Defense of the National Unity Government (NUG) stated on November 14 that in October 2024, a member of the People's Defense Forces (PDF) and six members of the People’s Defense Teams were prosecuted and punished, while the subordinate forces were subjected to necessary controls to become a force that serves the people.

PSLF/TNLA Grants Tax Exemption on Intra-State Import Duties

What can we expect from the 3rd People’s Assembly?

The People’s Assembly is led by the National Unity Consultative Council (NUCC) under the Federal Democratic Charter, a constitutional document in the revolutionary period. The People's Assembly has been held twice during the revolution, and the first People's Assembly was held from January 27th to 29th 2022, and the second People's Assembly will be held for 5 days from April 4th to 9th, 2024. According to the agreement, the conference is to be held once every (6) months, but it was only after more than (2) years that the second People's Assembly was held. The Second People's People confirmed again that the conference will be held once every six months, so the Third People's Conference will likely be held soon.

Military Regime Executes Massacres in Budalin

The National Unity Government (NUG) announced on October 22 that the brutal killings of innocent civilians, the burning down of houses, and the abductions as human shields, committed by the terrorist military regime on October 11 to 20 in Budalin Township, Sagaing Region were an army tactic that had been used for years to exact revenge on the armed resistance forces of various ethnic groups.

MTC announces restrictions on NGO/INGO

The Maraland Territorial Council (MTC) issued statement 01/2024 on October 21 that local and international non-governmental organizations (NGOs/INGOs) must provide more information to the Department of Home Affairs and Local Administration for the convenience of the implementation and security of the project due to the presence of unwanted illegal organizations and the transportation of illegal drugs.

Submit the Proposed Interim Structure of Sagaing to Parliament

The Sagaing Federal Unit Interim Constitution (Draft) Drafting Commission, which is made up of political forces in the Sagaing Region, has submitted the draft to the Regional Federal Unit Hluttaw, the parliament announced on October 25.

MNDAA issues Four Restrictions Amid Concerns of Foreign Interference in Myanmar's Affairs

The Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army (MNDAA) published four points in Chinese on October 9 that limited the traveling of government employees and troops, the participation in international affairs related to Myanmar issues, and the right to respond to the media as some foreign countries were planning to interfere in Myanmar’s internal affairs.

The fake "politics" of the military regime

The terrorist military junta issued a statement on September 26 offering the Ethnic Resistance Organizations (EROs) and the People's Defense Forces (PDFs) to solve political problems politically. This is the second such offer since the terrorist coup d'état on February 1, 2021, and the first being made in April 2022 by the leader of the terrorist junta, himself on television. The difference is that the offer was made this time when military camps and military headquarters of the military regime including the cities were being surrendered because of the operations of EROs and PDF.

NUCC and NUG Release Joint Statement Firmly Rejecting Pretense Discussion

The National Unity Consultative Council (NUCC) and the National Unity Government (NUG) jointly issued a joint statement on October 1 that the terrorist military junta’s “Invitation to political problem solving through political means" was an attempt to divide the Ethnic Resistance Organizations (EROs) and People’s Defense Forces (PDF) and to gain a positive international image. It was just a mere pretense, so they categorically rejected it.

There had been criticism that the flood was caused by a terrorist military junta breaking the dams under their control without informing the public and the lack of weather reporting.

On September 26, Yangon-based people strike groups announced that the terrorist military group's attempt to conduct a census under the pretext of holding an election was only an attempt to obtain the personal information of individuals, including urban revolutionary forces.

11 Mon Youth Groups Releases Four-Point Political Agreement

After the Mon Youth political dialogue participated in the spring revolution in September, a four-point common agreement was released on September 20 to achieve the common goals of anti-dictatorship and building a federal democratic union.

Four Yangon Protest Members Arrested

The Anti-Junta Alliance Yangon (AJAY) announced on September 21 that after the arrest of four members of the strike force following the ongoing anti-Junta activities in Yangon, they had lost contact with their families.

State/Nationalities Councils' Joint Statement on the Establishment of the Federal Union

The 8 State-based Ethnic Resistance Organizations and the State/Nationalities Representative Council, and the Women's League of Burma (WLB) released a joint statement on September 19 regarding the establishment of a future federal democratic union which was related to pursuance of a strong federal union through strengthened the state-level structures (Bottom-up Federalism).

MNDAA Releases Statement on Its National Stance

The Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army (MNDAA) (Kokang) has announced through its Military Committee on September 4th, under the title "Statement on the Current National Situation" that it will not completely change its political stance of striving for genuine autonomy. They have clarified that they will not engage in secession from the country, seizing state power, or declaring independence to establish a new state.

ABSDF and NUG Sign Memorandum of Understanding for Cooperation

On September 12, the All Burma Students' Democratic Front (ABSDF) and the National Unity Government (NUG) signed a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at joint struggle and cooperation based on mutual understanding and recognition of each other's political dignity.

IEC Announces Law Enforcement Plan for Four Key Sectors

The Interim Executive Council of Karenni State announced on September 4, with announcement number (3/2024), that four sectors such as drugs issues, businesses that were not incompatible with revolution and morality, illegal arms trade and trafficking, and land-based and online gambling business would be banned in a law enforcement initiative in collaboration with Karenni State Revolutionary Forces (Chief of Staff group) to ensure a safe and equitable life in Karenni State.
