Formation of the Bamar Army to represent the Bamar people
The Central Committee of the Bamar Army has announced the formation of the“Bamar Army” on January 1, 2025, to represent the Bamar people in the emergence of the Bamar state by holding the Panglong spirit as a political principle.
It stated that the nine white stars on the army flag represent the nine ethnic groups of Bamar, and the five political policies and six military policies had been established. They would strive for the emergence of the Bamar Ethnic State.
The Central Committee statement also stated that the forces were being integrated with battalions and troops with the same common goal and wanted to work together including the Thunder Guerrilla Forces, to ensure a balanced and cooperative approach to the politics and allied policies of the ethnic revolutionary organizations. The Thunder Guerrilla Forces is also an armed organization, operating in Thayet District, Magway Division.
