Tedim Township Representatives Urge Chinland Council Forces to Halt Military Actions

CCCNFICNCC

The 2020 elected representatives of the Tedim township issued a statement on January 17th and called for the immediate cessation of military operations of the Chin National Front (CNF) and other members of the Chinland Council during a period of intense military action led by the Interim Chin National Consultative Council (ICNCC) and Chin Brotherhood (CB), with the objectives of carrying out urban warfare.

In their statement, they emphasized that the people of Tedim Township elected them during the 2020 election, and have been steadfast in opposing any form of dictatorship since the military coup, aligning with the people in their commitment to resist military oppression.

At a time when CB was intensely preparing for urban warfare, the CNF and the People’s Defense Army (PDA) along with CC members have engaged in politically motivated actions that have caused disruptions. The statement also warned that these actions may lead to clashes between the Chin people and the armed forces of the Chin Revolution, potentially escalating into confrontations, which the statement aims to address with caution.
