Ta'ang Political Consultative Committee
The Ta'ang Political Consultative Committee (TPCC) was formed on March 25, 2021, so that the Ta'ang (Palaung) people can work with partner organizations on reform processes in Myanmar in line with the current political situation, and to represent the Ta'ang people in a political leadership role.
The TPCC includes party members and parliamentarians, Ta'ang social organizations and Ta'ang political leaders. Its aims are the complete end of dictatorship, the liberation of the people in the Ta'ang region from oppression, ethnic equality and self-determination, building a Ta'ang State, and building a federal democratic union.
It has issued statements objecting to and condemning armed groups, including military council forces, that commit violations against civilians, objecting to and condemning individuals and organizations cooperating with the military council, and on civilians' health.
The Interim Ta'ang Region People's Administration (Ta'ang Region administration), formed in line with CRPH guidance, is one part of the TPCC's work. The TPCC also drafted a state constitution based on the second draft of the federal constitution prepared by the Federal Constitution Drafting and Coordinating Committee (FCDCC). To gather recommendations and amendments to the third draft of the state constitution, the TPCC led workshops on the Federal Democracy Charter and the state constitution in Namhkam, Muse, Mantong, Namhsan, Nammatu, Kyaukme, Namhpatkar, Kutkai and Mantong townships.
On March 11–12, 2023, it held the Federal and Constitutional Seminar – Ta'ang State, at which the third draft of the Ta'ang State constitution was approved. (Note: The first draft was approved at the six-monthly Central Committee meeting of the Ta'ang army (PSLF/TNLA) in 2015, and the second draft was approved by the TPCC in May 2021.) The Ta'ang State constitution has 12 chapters. Some matters concerning the whole nation, including the national flag, national anthem and emblem, will only be approved when a Ta'ang National Conference is held.
It has firmly rejected the election and political party registration planned by the junta. In the National Unity Government, a Ta'ang political consultant serves as a deputy minister in the Ministry of Federal Union Affairs.
The TPCC is a member organization of the National Unity Consultative Council (NUCC).

Ethnic and federal councils declare that the country will only be built through a Bottom-Up Federalism approach
The centralized system of governance, which has failed to resolve deep-rooted political issues for decades, not only fails to address existing problems but also creates more complex challenges. Therefore, instead of adopting a centralized federal system (Holding Together) that could strengthen the system, the approach to rebuilding the country will be based on Bottom-up Federalism, which focuses on strengthening the State towards strengthening the Union. . This was announced by the nine institutions of ethnic revolutionary organizations and State/Ethnic Representative Council councils on Union Day, February 12.
Ta'arng (Palaung) National Party Declares Involvement in TPCC Political Road Map
The Ta'arng (Palaung) National Party announced on December 27 that it would oppose the sham election that the military junta would hold and that it would cooperate in every step of the political road map that will be implemented by the Ta’ang Political Consultative Committee (TPCC).
State/Nationalities Councils' Joint Statement on the Establishment of the Federal Union
The 8 State-based Ethnic Resistance Organizations and the State/Nationalities Representative Council, and the Women's League of Burma (WLB) released a joint statement on September 19 regarding the establishment of a future federal democratic union which was related to pursuance of a strong federal union through strengthened the state-level structures (Bottom-up Federalism).
TPCC led Federal Democratic Charter Workshop
A workshop related to the Federal Democratic Charter was led by the Ta'ang Political Consultative Committee -TPCC on May 20 in Mongngaw Township with 175 parents.
Reorganization of civil society organizations in a new way
Taang country, From June 6th to 8th in Kut Khaing City, led by five Taang civil society groups, the Taang Political Consultative Council -TPCC, Taang Pyi Education Council-TLEC, Taang Environmental Monitoring Group - TEWG; The 1/2024 press release announced that the organizations will be regrouped in a new format after holding a discussion with 64 participants, including the leaders and youth representatives of Taang Media.
Ta'ang Land Governance Arrangement for Revolution Period draft approved
The Ta'ang Political Consultative Committee (TPCC) announced on March 25 that the Ta'ang Land Governance Arrangement for Revolution Period for the emergence of a civilian administrative government in the towns captured during the 10:27 operation was approved as a draft after discussion and agreed on the procedures for further implementation.
Reactions of revolutionary forces on junta's artillery attacks at Munglai Hkyet IDP camp
Military junta intentionally bombarded Munglai Hkyet IDP Camp near Laiza in Kachin State at 11 pm on 9 October 2023. The indiscriminate attack killed 31 internally displaced persons (IDP) including 13 children and injured more than 20. Most of the deceased are women and girls in the attack that destroyed 50 shelters.
