On January 3, C2N3 jointly issued a statement declaring that the release of political leaders, including Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, who have been arrested and detained, is crucial for resolving the current national issues.

C2N3 is composed of the Chin Brotherhood (CB), the Committee Representing the Pyidaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH), the National League for Democracy (NLD), the National Unity Consultative Council (NUCC), and the National Unity Government (NUG).

C2N3’s overarching goal is to end the military dictatorship system and establish a transformed system through a federal democratic union that will bring about fundamental change in structure and essence. The joint statement outlines 10 key points. When the time comes to restructure the states/federal union and define boundaries, it will be based on the will of the people. There will be inclusive political dialogue in which all relevant parties will participate, ensuring that there will be no discrimination, and any disputes between power groups will be regarded as conflicts between allies and resolved peacefully through peaceful means.
