Ready for Negotiations: PSLF/TNLA Addresses Military Conflicts

On November 25, the Palaung National Liberation Front/Taang National Liberation Army (PSLF/TNLA) issued a statement that it was ready to hold talks to end the military conflict between the two sides in recognition of the Chinese government’s efforts to support the people affected by the war, to stabilize the border region and intervene in the cessation of hostilities.

After the 1027 operation of the three northern alliances, the SAC-Myanmar military targeted the people in the areas that were surrendered, and the innocent people suffering severely from the war due to the air strikes. With the sympathy of the civilians who were affected severely due to the conflict, we were always ready to discuss and find solutions to solve problems by upholding the right to self-defense.

What can we expect from the 3rd People’s Assembly?

The People’s Assembly is led by the National Unity Consultative Council (NUCC) under the Federal Democratic Charter, a constitutional document in the revolutionary period. The People's Assembly has been held twice during the revolution, and the first People's Assembly was held from January 27th to 29th 2022, and the second People's Assembly will be held for 5 days from April 4th to 9th, 2024. According to the agreement, the conference is to be held once every (6) months, but it was only after more than (2) years that the second People's Assembly was held. The Second People's People confirmed again that the conference will be held once every six months, so the Third People's Conference will likely be held soon.

The fake "politics" of the military regime

Tai Youth Yangon stated on September 6, strongly condemning the death of at least nine children and the injury of at least seven children as a result of an attack by a terrorist military junta targeting civilians in a residential area in Htong Mao area, Namhkam City, Northern Shan State.

On September 8th and 9th, the airstrike by the terrorist military junta targeted Shin Ywar Village, Pauktaw Township, and the 2nd Border Guard Police Battalion (NaKhaKha-2) killed more than 67 prisoners of war and civilians.

The 8 State-based Ethnic Resistance Organizations and the State/Nationalities Representative Council, and the Women's League of Burma (WLB) released a joint statement on September 19 regarding the establishment of a future federal democratic union which was related to pursuance of a strong federal union through strengthened the state-level structures (Bottom-up Federalism).

MNDAA Releases Statement on Its National Stance

The Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army (MNDAA) (Kokang) has announced through its Military Committee on September 4th, under the title "Statement on the Current National Situation" that it will not completely change its political stance of striving for genuine autonomy. They have clarified that they will not engage in secession from the country, seizing state power, or declaring independence to establish a new state.

On August 24, the Karenni State Interim Parliament (KSIP) which was transformed from the Interim Legislative Committee, released an annual report of its operation.

Sagaing Forum organizing committee issues statement on foreign investment

On August 31, the  Sagaing Forum Organizing Team stated that even though the current dynamic situation in the country presented numerous challenges for the stability and operation of foreign investments within the Sagaing Region (Federal Unit), the foreign investors should cease any collaboration with the terrorist military group responsible for numerous war crimes and instead prioritize the will and interests of the Sagaing people.

China pressures PSLF/TNLA to stop fighting in North Shan

On August 29, the Shweli National Security Committee stated in the "Notification of Military Training" that the Palaung State Liberation Front/Ta'ang National Liberation Army (PSLF/TNLA) needed an immediate end to the ongoing conflict and if it didn't stop, there would be more ways to stop it and also stated that the group would be responsible for any resulting consequences if the fighting continues.

On August 1, the Palaung State Liberation Front/ Ta'ang National Liberation Army (PSLF/PNLA) stated that all the military bases under the Tactical Operation Commander of the No. 348 Light Infantry Battalion (LIB-348), and No. 223 and 256 Infantry Battalion (IB 223 and 256) of No. 21 - Operations Command Headquarters (OCH-21) (Northern Command) of military regime in Mongmit township, Brigade 3 area of Ta'ang State had been completely captured and controlled by the afternoon of July 31st.
