It was stated on December 19 that the four local-based armed organizations that are fighting against the terrorist military regime in Mon State have agreed to implement the emergence of a single Mon Army.
The terrorist military junta issued a statement on September 26 offering the Ethnic Resistance Organizations (EROs) and the People's Defense Forces (PDFs) to solve political problems politically. This is the second such offer since the terrorist coup d'état on February 1, 2021, and the first being made in April 2022 by the leader of the terrorist junta, himself on television. The difference is that the offer was made this time when military camps and military headquarters of the military regime including the cities were being surrendered because of the operations of EROs and PDF.
After the Mon Youth political dialogue participated in the spring revolution in September, a four-point common agreement was released on September 20 to achieve the common goals of anti-dictatorship and building a federal democratic union.
The 8 State-based Ethnic Resistance Organizations and the State/Nationalities Representative Council, and the Women's League of Burma (WLB) released a joint statement on September 19 regarding the establishment of a future federal democratic union which was related to pursuance of a strong federal union through strengthened the state-level structures (Bottom-up Federalism).
On July 12, the Lagun Eain newsletter, published by the New Rehmonnya Federated Force (NRFF), published the"6-Month Human Rights Violation Report in the Mon Region" which compiled a record of human rights violations that occurred in the Mon region during the six months from January to June 2024.
The Mon State Federal Council -MSFC stated on February 29 that the Mon State Constitution (Zero Draft) was approved after the second conference was held on February 28 and 29 in order to stand as a federal unit according to the Federal Democratic Charter.
The MonState Federal Council (MSFC) stated on the 77th Mon National Day on February 25th, saying that it was becoming increasingly difficult to stand up to the terrorist military group's attempts to force the young Mon men into the military through the conscription law and that there is no other way to gain political power for our people except through armed resistance.
The announcement about People's Military Service Law was issued that the People's Military Service Law, enacted by Senior General Than Shwe, the Chairman of the State Peace and Development Council through Order No. 27/2010 on 4th November 2010, will come into forces on 10th February 2024, and it was issued with the signature of the Chairman of State Administration Council through Order No.27/2024.

Nai Suwanna, presiding over the Mon State Federal Council (MSFC) regular meeting (27/2023), said the council deemed the elections which the military junta is trying to organization, would be illegitimate.
