The Mon State Interim Coordination Committee (MSICC) was established on April 19, 2021, bringing together ethnic, democratic, and revolutionary forces. On January 15, 2023, the MSICC was expanded as the Mon State Federal Council (MSFC) after its first conference.

Its primary objectives are; the attainment of federal democracy, the opposition against authoritarianism, particularly military dictatorship, and the ultimate overthrow of such dictatorship. The position of President within MSICC is held by Nai Tun Pe (also known as Nai Suwanna).

MSICC actively addresses civil defense matters while collaborating with the National Unity Consultative Council (NUCC) and the National Unity Government (NUG). It continuously disseminates knowledge about the Federal Charter.

The MSFC is a member organization of the National Unity Consultative Council.
