NUG

On January 30, an armed military group launched at least eight airstrikes on the Aung San University, which was established by the National Unity Government (NUG) in the Magway Region, resulting in the death of a 20-year-old student.

During the attack, a professor who had participated in the Civil Disobedience Movement (CDM), two students, and two innocent civilians were injured. The university and residential houses, which were not military targets, were deliberately attacked. The NUG Ministry of Education has stated that these actions are violations of International Humanitarian Law and International Human Rights Law.
