မြန်မာနိုင်ငံအား ဒေသတွင်း ပြည်တွင်းစစ်ရေးပဋိပက္ခများ ပိုမိုဆိုးရွားနိုင်စေသည်သာမက ဒေသတွင်းနှင့် ကမ္ဘာတစ်ဝန်းရှိ ပြည်သူများကိုပါ ထိခိုက်စေမည့် ဆိုက်ဘာနှင့် အခြားရာဇဝတ်မှုများ၏ဗဟိုချက်မ မဖြစ်လာစေရေးအတွက် ကာကွယ်တားဆီးရန် ခိုင်မာစွာ သိန္နိဋ္ဌာန်ချထားကြောင်း မြန်မာ့ ဖက်ဒရယ်ဒီမိုကရေစီအင်အားစုများက ဇန်နဝါရီ ၂၀ ရက်တွင် သဘောထား ထုတ်ပြန်လိုက်သည်။

With the 1027 operation, the Arakan Army (AA) began a series of offensives that included sieges of military bases and towns. On February 24, 2024, Buthidaung was attacked, and completely captured on May 18.

On July 12, the Lagun Eain newsletter, published by the New Rehmonnya Federated Force (NRFF), published the"6-Month Human Rights Violation Report in the Mon Region" which compiled a record of human rights violations that occurred in the Mon region during the six months from January to June 2024.

On April 1, the New Mon State Party (Anit-military dictatorship) stated that due to the the February 1, 2021 military coup, the path for political dialogue has been blocked so New Mon State Party-AD released the important political position for the formation of a federal democratic union that guarantees the rights to self-determination.

On March 18, the seven ethnic armed organizations (EAOs) that signed the Nationwide Ceasefire Agreement announced that they would continue to hold political talks with all stakeholders to bring about meaningful political changes.
