CDF Kanpetlet to accelerate reorganization of forces

The Third Kanpetlet Township Conference stated on September 3 that the Chin Defense Force (CDF - Kanpetlet) will be restructured with a Commander-in-Chief system to increase the revolution's momentum.

The conference was hosted by the 89 representatives, who should participate including Kanpetlet Township Council, the People’s Administration team, and CDF-Kanpetlet and it would be held from August 29 to 31. After that the conference agreed to continue the fight with the allies in collaboration with the Chin Brotherhood on revolutionary issues, to cooperate fully with the Interim Chin National Consultative Council (ICNCC) on political matters, and not to accept any political and armed organizations in the township in the absence of such cooperation.

  • Mandalay Region Interim Political Arrangement

    The "Mandalay Region Interim Political Arrangement" (draft) has been written with 12 chapters and will soon be adopted. The draft has been officially released so that revolutionary political forces across the country, including Mandalay revolutionary forces and the public, can review it and send suggestions, and it is being further revised based on the suggestions received. Chapters 1 to 3 of the draft cover objectives, values and basic principles, and Chapter 4 covers fundamental rights, entitlements and duties. Chapters 5 to 10 cover the structure of the Mandalay region and its legislative, executive and judicial branches, Chapter 11 covers amendment of the arrangement, and Chapter 12 contains general provisions.

  • NUG Deputy Minister of Human Rights Granted Leave from Duties

    The NUG announced on March 7 that Khun Bedu Htan, one of the deputy ministers of the National Unity Government (NUG) Ministry of Human Rights, had been granted leave from his duties.

  • Irrawaddy-Based IDLA Army Formed

    In Announcement No. 2 issued on February 28, Mann Phan Shaung, Chair of the Irrawaddy Delta Nationalities State Council, announced that the Irrawaddy Delta Liberation Army (IDLA) was formed on January 1, 2025, with four objectives, including fighting the Four Cuts strategy.

  • Yaw Army (YA) Announces Merger with YPDF into a Single Force

    On March 3, the Yaw Army (YA) announced that it would build a single force together with the Yaw People's Defence Force (YPDF), which has now been permanently dissolved, and continue to fight.
