On February 14, in Kangyi Taw Village of Shwebo District, at Ludmal Thawma Church, the Catholic priest from the Archdiocese of Mandalay, Fr. Donald Martin, was killed. The ten suspects for his murder had been identified. The Ministry of Home Affairs and Immigration of the National Unity Government (NUG) announced on January 17 that these suspects would be investigated by military tribunals of the Ministry of Defense of NUG, and actions would be taken according to the law.
The military leaders of the Myanmar army who seized power through the genocide of the Rohingya people, including General Min Aung Hlaing, the Commander-in-Chief, and Deputy Commander-in-Chief General Soe Win, along with 23 other top military leaders, have been issued arrest warrants by the Argentine court in Buenos Aires on February 13, according to an announcement made by the UK-based Burmese Rohingya Organization UK (BROUK) on February 14.
The Myanmar National Human Rights Commission, established by the military junta, is not an independent, impartial, and respected body. Instead, it operates in line with the junta’s interests and opposes the Paris Principles. Therefore, the National Unity Government (NUG) announced on February 13 that it does not recognize this body and considers it dissolved.
An open letter containing the four requests, signed by 20 civil society organizations, the People's Defense Committee, and the Union, was sent to the Singapore government and the Singapore Stock Exchange Group on February 13. The military has used the punishment for the military victories of the revolutionary forces as a common tactic, they have continued to target civilians without distinguishing between civilians and militants.
It was a year that continued to see the administrative structure behind military victories. The administrative structures have become stronger, especially in the non-central regions. The Karenni State Interim Executive Council was an example, and the administrative structures of the Ta’ang region are also beginning to be seen. Some changes have begun in Kachin and Kawthoolei, where the traditional administrative structures have been in place. The examples of how public participation has shaped Kawthoolei’s administration, and the public debate has developed.

On December 4, the National Unity Government sent an appeal to the Thai government, requesting that despite the relaxation of the residency rights for Burmese, three elements would cause difficulties.

The People’s Assembly is led by the National Unity Consultative Council (NUCC) under the Federal Democratic Charter, a constitutional document in the revolutionary period. The People's Assembly has been held twice during the revolution, and the first People's Assembly was held from January 27th to 29th 2022, and the second People's Assembly will be held for 5 days from April 4th to 9th, 2024. According to the agreement, the conference is to be held once every (6) months, but it was only after more than (2) years that the second People's Assembly was held. The Second People's People confirmed again that the conference will be held once every six months, so the Third People's Conference will likely be held soon.

They have clarified that they will not engage in secession from the country, seizing state power, or declaring independence to establish a new state.
In recognition of the right to education of all children in the Kawthoolei areas, the "Declaration on the Safety of Schools in Kawthoolei" for the Safety and Health of students, teachers, and schools was issued by the Karen National Union (KNU) on September 9.
On September 8th and 9th, the airstrike by the terrorist military junta targeted Shin Ywar Village, Pauktaw Township, and the 2nd Border Guard Police Battalion (NaKhaKha-2) killed more than 67 prisoners of war and civilians.
Tai Youth Yangon stated on September 6, strongly condemning the death of at least nine children and the injury of at least seven children as a result of an attack by a terrorist military junta targeting civilians in a residential area in Htong Mao area, Namhkam City, Northern Shan State.
The Interim Executive Council of Karenni State announced on September 4, with announcement number (3/2024), that four sectors such as drugs issues, businesses that were not incompatible with revolution and morality, illegal arms trade and trafficking, and land-based and online gambling business would be banned in a law enforcement initiative in collaboration with Karenni State Revolutionary Forces (Chief of Staff group) to ensure a safe and equitable life in Karenni State.
The Third Kanpetlet Township Conference stated on September 3 that the Chin Defense Force (CDF - Kanpetlet) will be restructured with a Commander-in-Chief system to increase the revolution's momentum.
The National Unity Government (NUG) issued a statement on September 3 urging strong resistance and opposition through various means against the terrorist military group's efforts to use the entire country and its people as human shields. This includes their enactment of compulsory conscription law, formation of a central supervisory committee for public security and counter-terrorism, and forcibly recruiting elderly people up to 65 years old as soldiers.
On August 31, the Sagaing Forum Organizing Team stated that even though the current dynamic situation in the country presented numerous challenges for the stability and operation of foreign investments within the Sagaing Region (Federal Unit), the foreign investors should cease any collaboration with the terrorist military group responsible for numerous war crimes and instead prioritize the will and interests of the Sagaing people.
The National Unity Consultative Council (NUCC) on August 31 strongly condemned China's Shweli National Security Committee for sending a threatening letter to an immediate end to the ongoing fighting of the Ta'ang National Liberation Army (PSLF/TNLA) as a brutal threat to the TNLA and the revolution of the Burmese people.
On August 29, the Shweli National Security Committee stated in the "Notification of Military Training" that the Palaung State Liberation Front/Ta'ang National Liberation Army (PSLF/TNLA) needed an immediate end to the ongoing conflict and if it didn't stop, there would be more ways to stop it and also stated that the group would be responsible for any resulting consequences if the fighting continues.
It was announced on August 25 that the "Ta'angland Health Council (THC)" has been established to provide the necessary health care for all ethnic groups in Ta'angland and to focus on disease prevention and control activities.

On August 16, the National Unity Consultative Council (NUCC) stated the follow-up actions related to the 3 resolutions and 21 recommendations adopted by the Second People’s Assembly and reviewed the country's current political and military situation.
On August 13th, Yangon-based revolutionary forces issued a five-point "Exhortation to all citizens of Yangon" to "support each other and help each other" regarding the Internally Displaced People (IDPs) who are coming to Yangon.
The Northeastern Regional Military Command was separated from the Eastern Regional Military Command established in Taunggyi in 1961 to more effectively handle the activities of the Communist Party of Burma in the country on July 27, 1972, and was established based in Lashio.
