IEC Announces Law Enforcement Plan for Four Key Sectors

The Interim Executive Council of Karenni State announced on September 4, with announcement number (3/2024), that four sectors such as drugs issues, businesses that were not incompatible with revolution and morality, illegal arms trade and trafficking, and land-based and online gambling business would be banned in a law enforcement initiative in collaboration with Karenni State Revolutionary Forces (Chief of Staff group) to ensure a safe and equitable life in Karenni State.

It is also stated that the notice period for the project is set from September 4 to 24, and from September 25, the Law Enforcement Task Force and the Special Force would be formed, and they would be given instructions and authorities to handle it effectively.

The IEC has also announced that in four sectors that would be banned, the definitions of each sector and the activities that were prohibited according to the law enforcement plan, and in regards to the illegal arms trade, taking inventory of various weapons held by the community, the registration and regulatory compliance would be carried out.

PDF Gangaw Announces Withdrawal from NUG to Join Forces with Yaw Army

PSLF Declares Meeting in Kunming Unsuccessful Despite Three Discussion Points

On February 19, the Palaung State Liberation Army (PSLF/TNLA) announced that although three points, including a ceasefire, were requested and discussed during the meeting where both sides’ troops met, the discussions were difficult. The ten suspects for his murder had been identified. What can we expect from the 3rd People’s Assembly?

The People’s Assembly is led by the National Unity Consultative Council (NUCC) under the Federal Democratic Charter, a constitutional document in the revolutionary period. The People's Assembly has been held twice during the revolution, and the first People's Assembly was held from January 27th to 29th 2022, and the second People's Assembly will be held for 5 days from April 4th to 9th, 2024. According to the agreement, the conference is to be held once every (6) months, but it was only after more than (2) years that the second People's Assembly was held. The Second People's People confirmed again that the conference will be held once every six months, so the Third People's Conference will likely be held soon.

The fake "politics" of the military regime

The terrorist military junta issued a statement on September 26 offering the Ethnic Resistance Organizations (EROs) and the People's Defense Forces (PDFs) to solve political problems politically. China pressures PSLF/TNLA to stop fighting in North Shan

On August 29, the Shweli National Security Committee stated in the "Notification of Military Training" that the Palaung State Liberation Front/Ta'ang National Liberation Army (PSLF/TNLA) needed an immediate end to the ongoing conflict and if it didn't stop, there would be more ways to stop it and also stated that the group would be responsible for any resulting consequences if the fighting continues.
