After stating a letter No. 003/010/Ga Ga (KaTaNa)/Oo-1 that if it was found that the prohibitions had been violated the punishment up to and including the death penalty would be carried out by local regulations, and receiving severe criticism, the Central Leading Committee of People’s Administrative Team of Kyaw Administrative Unit, Gangaw Township reissued a letter No. 003/010/Gc (Katana)/U-1on December 16 stating that strict action will be taken.

The year 2024 has been a year marked by military victories. The military regime lost two of its 14 regional military commands and suffered heavy losses along the border. and faced significant military threats in the central region. The military has used the punishment for the military victories of the revolutionary forces as a common tactic, they have continued to target civilians without distinguishing between civilians and militants.

On December 3, the Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army (MNDAA) Military Committee issued a six-point position and attitude for the sympathy of the people who suffered from the war, the stabilization of the China-Myanmar border, a political solution to the internal military conflicts and the practical development of peace in the region.

On November 25, the Palaung National Liberation Front/Taang National Liberation Army (PSLF/TNLA) issued a statement that it was ready to hold talks to end the military conflict between the two sides in recognition of the Chinese government’s efforts to support the people affected by the war, to stabilize the border region and intervene in the cessation of hostilities.

The People’s Assembly is led by the National Unity Consultative Council (NUCC) under the Federal Democratic Charter, a constitutional document in the revolutionary period. The People's Assembly has been held twice during the revolution, and the first People's Assembly was held from January 27th to 29th 2022, and the second People's Assembly will be held for 5 days from April 4th to 9th, 2024. According to the agreement, the conference is to be held once every (6) months, but it was only after more than (2) years that the second People's Assembly was held. The Second People's People confirmed again that the conference will be held once every six months, so the Third People's Conference will likely be held soon.

The National Unity Government (NUG) announced on October 22 that the brutal killings of innocent civilians, the burning down of houses, and the abductions as human shields, committed by the terrorist military regime on October 11 to 20 in Budalin Township, Sagaing Region were an army tactic that had been used for years to exact revenge on the armed resistance forces of various ethnic groups.

The National Unity Consultative Council (NUCC) and the National Unity Government (NUG) jointly issued a joint statement on October 1 that the terrorist military junta’s “Invitation to political problem solving through political means" was an attempt to divide the Ethnic Resistance Organizations (EROs) and People’s Defense Forces (PDF) and to gain a positive international image. It was just a mere pretense, so they categorically rejected it.

The flash floods in Myanmar caused by Typhoon Ragi, which hit the South China Sea, had a great impact on the people in the country. There had been criticism that the flood was caused by a terrorist military junta breaking the dams under their control without informing the public and the lack of weather reporting.

In recognition of the right to education of all children in the Kawthoolei areas, the "Declaration on the Safety of Schools in Kawthoolei" for the Safety and Health of students, teachers, and schools was issued by the Karen National Union (KNU) on September 9.

During a meeting with the leaders of Myanmar's political forces and ethnic forces, the US government urged them to build cohesion among pro-democracy actors and encourage the transition to a civilian government that respects the will of the people.

On August 16, the National Unity Consultative Council (NUCC) stated the follow-up actions related to the 3 resolutions and 21 recommendations adopted by the Second People’s Assembly and reviewed the country's current political and military situation.

On August 13th, Yangon-based revolutionary forces issued a five-point "Exhortation to all citizens of Yangon" to "support each other and help each other" regarding the Internally Displaced People (IDPs) who are coming to Yangon.

The Arakan Army (ULA/AA) has released a video file of the evacuation of about 500 civilians from Ka Nyin Tan Village of Ward-No (8) in Maungdaw, Arakan State, to safety on August 8th, those civilians were trapped as human shields by the terrorist military junta and some of their armed Muslim militants.

On August 6, the three Northern Alliances announced that all the international community, especially the neighboring country, China should gather to stop the terrorist military regime, as the terrorist military regime had been carrying out airstrikes in non-military and non-combat areas and committing serious crimes against civilians.

On July 29, the Central Committee of the "Wa" People's Unity Party (UWSP) expressed the desire to solve the problems of people's interests affected by the conflicts in Myanmar, including the northern part of Shan State, in order to recover and return to their homelands through various peaceful means, including dialogue. Released in two Chinese languages.

The Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army (MNDAA) announced that it successfully captured the junta’s Northeastern Regional Military Command headquarters (Ya Ma Kha) in Lashio Town, northern Shan State on 25 July, and the military administration committee was established in Lashio area for the administration, security and defense of the township.

The 422nd Infantry Battalion of the terrorist group based in Mobye, recklessly opened the gates of the Mobye dam in the early morning of July 25th, causing disruption to the local farmers and the people, so the Karenni State Interim Executive Council (IEC) issued a declaration of emergency on 1/2024 to warn of the flood risk.

On July 12, the Lagun Eain newsletter, published by the New Rehmonnya Federated Force (NRFF), published the"6-Month Human Rights Violation Report in the Mon Region" which compiled a record of human rights violations that occurred in the Mon region during the six months from January to June 2024.

According to the annual report of the Sagaing Forum organizing group - "Sagaing Forum Humanitarian Assistance Network" on July 11 stated that due to the terrorist military group's policy of targeting the people as the enemy, during the three years of the Spring Revolution, approximately 22.4 percent of Sagaing's population has been living as IDPs, and more than 53,000 homes have been burned.

Since February 1, 2021, when the terrorist group started trying to seize power, it is clear that in addition to serious human rights violations such as war crimes, and crimes against humanity, people's rights have been suppressed in various ways. On the evening of June 25, the Arakan Army (AA) released the video footage of the World Food Program-WFP warehouse and some residential house in Waithali village, Maungdaw Township, Rakhine State were burned down by a terrorist military group and their trained armed Muslim group on June 21, at about 5:00 p.m.

Since November 13, 2023, repeated clashes between the Arakan Army (AA) and the terrorist military junta have occurred in Rakhine State. During the battles, AA had occupied up to ten townships including Buthidaung, Pauktaw, Minbya, Mrauk U, Kyauktaw, Ponnagyun, Rathedaung, Myebon, Ramree, and even Paletwa township in Chin State, and the fightings also continued in the rest of the townships in the state.

The terrorist junta’s attempt at forcible recruitment is an oppression that is a violation of human rights and it will worsen the crisis and difficulties of Myanmar people and will deteriorate the stability of the region.

The fighting between the coalition forces of ethnic resistance organizations in northern Shan State and the junta has intensified since October 26, and about 25,700 people have been displaced from their homes, according to UN-OCHA.

In the Northern Shan State, the Northern Alliance announced Operation 1027 and attacked the junta forces starting on 27 October. More than 3,000 IDPs have fled the war in Lashio Township.

Military junta intentionally bombarded Munglai Hkyet IDP Camp near Laiza in Kachin State at 11 pm on 9 October 2023. The indiscriminate attack killed 31 internally displaced persons (IDP) including 13 children and injured more than 20. Most of the deceased are women and girls in the attack that destroyed 50 shelters.
