661 organizations demand Finland and Switzerland to stop legitimizing the military junta.
On November 11, 661 civil society organizations working on the spring revolution and Myanmar's democracy released an open letter saying that the governments of Finland and Switzerland must stop giving legitimacy to the fake peace process of the Burmese terrorist group.
The open letter mentioned that the Finnish government was secretly meeting with the peace talks committee of military regime through the CMI – Matti Ahtisaari Peace Foundation, and the Swiss government was conducting peace process workshops related to the Ceasefire agreement - NCA in conjunction with Center for Humanitarian Dialogue and Swisspeace, the two countries, along with several other countries, are working to provide humanitarian assistance through the Technical Secretariat Center - TSC, a working committee of the of Joint Ceasefire Monitoring Committee.
The open letter also states that doing so would give legitimacy to the regime, therefore, it is needed to immediately cease all engagement, humanitarian aid should be provided directly to local and community-based organizations and to stand firmly on the side of the Myanmar people.
