PSLF Suspends Non-CDM Staff Still Residing in the State
On May 15, the PSLF announced that all Non-CDM staff who had served in any form under the junta in Ta'ang areas, including the towns of Namhsan, Nammatu, Mantong, Kutkai, Namhkam, Mong Ngaw and Mong Long controlled by the Palaung State Liberation Front (PSLF), no longer hold any duties from now on and that all their work has been suspended.
The announcement, issued by the Central Executive Committee under the title "Clarification on Non-CDM Staff in Ta'ang State", said action will be taken against Non-CDM staff still living in Ta'ang State if they are found cooperating with the junta, such as drawing salaries or money from it, working with it, or sending it work reports. It also said that Non-CDM staff suspected of committing offences under the set criteria will be arrested by the relevant authorities, or arrested on the basis of complaints and investigated step by step, and punished under the set procedures.
The committee's statement also said that since the start of Operation 1027, the PSLF has been carrying out administrative work more practically than before in its administered areas, including these towns, together with local residents.
