Prague Appeal for EU
Regarding the Myanmar issue, the "Prague Appeal" was delivered to the European Union (EU) member states during the meeting with the Foreign Minister of the Czech Republic Jan Lipavsky.
The Prague appeal was sent to EU by the National Unity Consultative Council (NUCC), National Unity Government (NUG), Ethnic Resistance Organizations (EROs) and Spring Revolution forces on October 16.
The appeal states the crimes committed by the junta in the country, and the organizations involved in the appeal are allied for democracy and representative governance and the end of the military dictatorship in Myanmar, and the common political goal of all of aliiance is to build a democratic state based on the federal democratic constitution.
The current period is not the time for a ceasefire and negotiations, stating that it opposes any potential power-sharing arrangement between a terrorist junta and any organization, and has appealed to the EU not to intervene.
On the international front, the regime is not to be recognized in any way and to recognize that the organizations in the appeal are practical public institutions that have delivered public services and established governance mechanisms on the ground.
