Yangon-based public strike groups announced on August 16 that the Ward/Village Administration Mechanism was the key pillar to maintain control over the urban for the terrorist military junta that was falling on all sides. It also stated that Yangon-based public strike groups have started a “Movement of defiance of military rule"  for the communities themselves to strongly oppose the rulers who are bullying and oppressing their communities.

ရပ်/ကျေးအုပ်ချုပ်ရေးမှူးများသည် စစ်အုပ်စု အုပ်ချုပ်ရေးနှင့် ဖိနှိပ်ရေးယန္တရားအတွက် အရေးကြီးဆုံးဖြစ်ကာ ဧည့်စာရင်းတိုင်ကြားမှုမှ မတရားစစ်မှုထမ်းစာရင်း ကောက်ယူမှုများအထိ အရေးပါနေကြောင်း၊ ရန်ကုန်မြို့ပြ စစ်ကျွန်အုပ်ချုပ်ရေးအား ဖြိုချမည်ဆိုပါက ရပ်/ကျေးအုပ်ချုပ်ရေးမှ စတင်ရမည် ဖြစ်ကြောင်း၊ ထို့ကြောင့် ရပ်ရွာလူထုအနေဖြင့် ရပ်/ကျေးအုပ်ကြီးများအား ပြင်းပြင်းထန်ထန် ဆန့်ကျင်အာခံကြရန် လိုအပ်ကာ ၎င်းတို့၏ အချက်အလက်များအား တော်လှန်ရေးအင်အားစုများထံ သတင်းပေးပို့ခြင်း၊ ဖယ်ကျဉ်ခြင်း၊ အာခံခြင်း၊ လူမှုပြစ်ဒဏ်ပေး၍ နုတ်ထွက်သွားစေရေး ဖိအားပေးခြင်းများ ဝိုင်းဝန်းလုပ်ဆောင်ကြရန် သပိတ်အင်အားစုများက တိုက်တွန်းထားသည်။
