National League for Democracy (NLD) released a statement on its 35th Anniversary on 27 September.

The party assured its commitment to oppose the elections planned by the junta and collaboration with political parties and other stakeholders who did not collaborate with the junta.

The military junta abolished the NLD for not re-registering under their revised political party registration law.
