Karenni National Progressive Party (KNPP) in its message to Karenni Martyrs Day on 8 September reiterated its continued fight against the military junta for establishment of federal union together with fellow ethnic revolutionary organizations. The message also mentioned that the spring revolution also offer fresh opportunties to end 70 years of struggle for political equality. KNPP was founded on 1948 with aims for peace and federalism. It has an armed wing of Karenni Army and outrightly rejected 2008 Constitution and peace talks.
