Karenni State Interim Executive Council (IEC) appointed heads and deputies for five departments on 7 September. Appointments to Home Affairs Department, Education Department, Health Department, Humanitarian and Resettlement Department and Planning, Finance and Tax Department were announced.

IEC was formed on 6 June 2023.
