Political prisoners in Monywa prison who had been on hunger strike went out victorious with prison authorities agreeing to all demands of the strikers on 13 September.
More than 50 prisoners were on hunger strikers, demanding the return of three books which were allowed in the prison for each person, personal belongings, and personal utensils seized by military and police, and allowance of 10 letters and 10 photos for each prisoner.
It started on 8 September and received widespread solidarity messages from different revolutionary groups.
