Revolutionary forces staged a protest in Yangon with the call for "Ending dictatorship to address general crisis", despite tight security by the military junta.

The protest was jointly organized by All Burma Federation of Student Unions (ABFSU), Democratic Party for New Society (DPNS), Youth for New Society (YNS), General Strike Committee (GSC, North Dagon Oppressed People's Strike Coalition (NDOPSD), Yangon East University Student Union and Burmese Youth Revolutionary Force (BYRF).
