Ministry of Defence (MOD) under the National Unity Government (NUG) released Second Anniversary Report of People's Defensive War on 7 September. 

Report covers "strategic composition and distribution of forces", "two years' comparison of military affairs", "seizures of enemy stations", "defections", "strategic offensives" as main chapters. The report also mentions that 28 enemy stations were seized in first year and 107 in second year, mostly in Karenni, Karen and Sagaing. It also states that the second year is the start of "strategic offensive. The report also reiterate its aim to form federal democratic state where military dictatorship was ultimately ended and establish a federam army stuided for the federal state.

The People's Defensive War was announced on 7 September, 2021, and currently MOD recently announced the military campaign "All roads lead to Nay Pyi Taw".
