Karen National Police Force celebrated its 32nd anniverary on 9 August.

KNPF was formed on 8 September, 1991 by 10th KNU Congress, with the aims of providing public safety and security, addressing the public safety threats and law enforcement in the state. Karen National Defence Organization had assumed law enforcement duties before its formation.
