Karenni Interim Administrative Council (IEC) appointed Head and two Deputy Heads of the Department of Women and Children Affairs on October 18 with Order No. 18/2023.

IEC plans to strengthen their administration with appointments of head of the Finance and Tax Department and two deputies on 7 September.

The IEC was formed on June 6, 2023 under the political leadership of the Karenni State Consultative Council (KSCC). The Department of Humanitarian Affairs and Rehabilitation, the Department of Health, the Department of Education, and the Department of Home Affairs have also been established.
